If you describe yourself as a modern bride looking for something a little different than the norm, here is some inspiration for you. Deciding what your wedding day is gonna look like may be quite daunting nowadays with so many ideas out there. I mean just look at Pinterest with 3 billion wedding pins alone! Like, where do you start? Well first you start with what you’re gonna wear of course!
However, with all great sourcing, it is best to go local. Sometimes we feel things are so far out of reach for us, however we forget that what is near to us is really unique… like talented people creating beautiful things. So getting together with an awesome team of wedding professionals, we were able to put together two styles I think you’re gonna feel inspired by.
Look One
The first look is the Crocus Jumpsuit. Deanne gives us serious heart eyes in this jumpsuit; it is modern and sleek and has a real city-bride feel to it. There are so many accessories you can add to this look to curate it perfectly to your style. Pair it with an over-sized floral crown in rich, red blooms to bring that wow factor and add simple white peep-toe heels to finish the look. You can even lose the crown and go for some stand out floral earrings to fit your overall look.
And for the guys, Jonas looked super on trend in his emerald green cut suit and tie-less white shirt and BTW, guys can wear florals too! Jonas rocked his pretty proudly!
Look Two
The sexy Juniper Gown plays with sheer tulle and revamping the princess-dress stereotype a little. Here, we did a couple interchangeable looks, keeping the dress the main attraction and alternating the head pieces and earrings. The first, a beaded crown fit for a queen with a dark side and the second a floral hair clip that made us feel like we were part of a Mexican wedding for a moment. If only we had some tequila and maybe a salsa dip, then we could have called it a party! Slip on some sexy black boots so you can still show off your inner siren if you feel the need.
Our groom’s outfit for this look is paired with black on black on black and we opted for a round neck t-shirt instead of the traditional shirt to show off some personal style.
Our shoot scenes were all within a 8 km radius! From the local wine cellar and Italian restaurant, to the sexiest coral door of a design firm to the local look out point visited by almost everyone, we wanted to showcase that inner city does not limit you… just your imagination does!
We love these two styles and know you will be inspired too. All the information for the vendors involved are at the end of the post. Happy eye candy! With love!

The Crocus Jumpsuit
This Armani satin piece has been designed for the laid-back modern bride. A playful alternative to the traditional wedding gown, this piece blends classic tailoring and a bit of fun with its clean lines and satin bow. The wrap over bodice provides support and this versatile style can be worn by a variety of body types. The Crocus is also a great second outfit to be worn to the reception, perfect to dance the night away.
The Juniper Gown
The Juniper gown is a romantic confection of soft tulle, Chantilly lace and intricate beadwork. This gown features a fitted bodice made with a high neck and playful ruffles at the sleeve, and a skirt of layers of diaphanous tulle with a duster train. The slightly sheer tiered skirt is an A-line that follows the lines of the figure while adding volume, making it a flattering yet bold silhouette. The Chantilly lace bodice is a nod to classic bridal-wear modernised with a keyhole back and ruffled cap sleeves.
