Oh gosh, family, isn’t it the most crazy, fulfilling, make-me-mad, totally love spending Sunday’s with, weirdest thing?!
With all its ebb’s and flows when done and dusted I see the depth of it all. The giving, the taking and the receiving.

I am so in love with how this winter family photo session with the Mellet family turned out. Not only with all the beautiful memories, but the energy and love I felt from them.

We started off just getting to know each other a bit. This is how it goes at a shoot (and exactly the same when you get to meet someone for the first time), a little awkward at the beginning until things start to thaw a little and everyone feels safe and happy.

Family photos are evidence we were here! And also of time. Remember to collect them, as many as possible. Of course good colour coordination is a winner.

The Mellet family and I wandered a little together on their farm with their dogs. The sights we just so spectacular with the golden landscapes and blue sky. A little roll in the grass with loads of giggles and hugs. After that we checked in on their horses and just finished the session there. Hearts full!

When you see a week has gone by, then a month, and then a year. I have photographed many families over the years and boy, when it comes to kids, they grow up so fast and that is not a joke.

Besides food and clothes to keep up I know the last thing on the priority list is photos, BUT, yes there is a but here, you gotta pull up some cash for photos. It’s important! The memories, the growth, the “oh, do you remember that” times! You gotta get this down on a photograph! So how do we do this thing you ask?
