We are so excited to show you the dreamy, safari inspired shoot we did. It is for those who are drawn to the art of modern simplicity and who love the warm washed Bushveld.
Where We Are Coming From:
To share a little about the heart of this shoot; the Covid pandemic has left us almost paralysed in our planning and optimism and this shoot is in direct conjunction with our “new normal”.
This has changed so much for us as wedding vendors and for our dear bride’s and groom’s-to-be. And an Intimate Safari Wedding is a good option to celebrate safely and still have those special moments that will last a lifetime.
What Is An Intimate Safari Wedding:
An Intimate Safari Wedding means removing the complicated and getting down to the essence of what really matters to you. Hence “Modern simplicity”. No longer are weddings following traditional paths. Your wedding day is about you and your partner and those nearest and dearest to you. Removing the superfluous to make room for the unforgettable. #momentsovermountains
How We Do This:
There really is no ‘how-to’ when it comes to an Intimate Wedding. You can go on a hike, take a boat trip, watch wildlife across African landscapes or stop at your favourite picnic spot before ending the day and enjoying a good South African red wine at the evening fire. This day should be all about you; having the time to connect with each other and absorb all the mysteries of nature.
More than worrying about a venue or guests, an Intimate Wedding gives you the opportunity for closeness and authenticity without the fear of becoming absorbed in a myriad of details. Rather than feeling stressed about the particulars of hosting the biggest party you’ve ever organized, you’re in the moment and can fully feel and comprehend the fact that you’re getting married. You get the chance to pause and embrace every single moment together. As Emily Dickinson once said, “Forever is composed of now’s.”
We echoed the natural colours in the safari-scape on the table settings and stationary. And being attentive to textures felt in the Bushveld we explored depth and interest in our designs. Pampas grass and dried flowers make floral arrangements more manageable in warmer climates. And we also agree with our modern couples, eco-friendly and sustainable decor is a big “Yes!” from us too.
Our couple’s outfits were relaxed and easy to move in, synonymous with the simplicity found in the bushveld.
We hope this inspires you in planning your special day, with much love and care from all of us to you.
